Knights Point K- 8 School is excited to welcome our new Athletic Director, Mr. Lamont Bennings!

Fostering Academic Success

Goal: Ensure student-athletes achieve academic excellence and prepare them for high school expectations. 

Objectives:

Increase the overall GPA of student athletes.

Eliminate the number of student-athletes on academic probation.

Provide academic support services, such as tutoring and mentoring. 

Strategies:

Implement academic support programs.

Monitor student-athlete academic progress.

Provide resources for time management and study skills. 

Ensure student-athletes have access to academic advisors. 

Enhancing Athletic Performance:

Goal: Improve team performance and individual athlete development across all sports. 

Objectives:

Increase winning percentages in all sports. 

Reduce the number of student-athlete injuries through preventative measures and proper training. 

Develop and implement a comprehensive strength and conditioning program.

Strategies:

Recruit top talent available.

Incorporate skills and development on weekends.

Provide high-quality coaching and training.

Strengthening Community Engagement:

Goal: Increase community involvement and support for the Knights Point Athletic Program.

Objectives:

Expand fundraising efforts and secure sponsorships.

Increase attendance at athletic events. 

Increase participation in community outreach programs. 

Build strong relationships with local businesses and organizations.

Strategies:

Host community events, such as youth clinics and sports camps.

Develop a comprehensive marketing plan to promote athletic events and programs. 

Partner with local businesses for fundraising and sponsorships.

Engage alumni and former student-athletes in supporting the program.

Promoting a Positive and Inclusive Environment

Goal: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Objectives:

Promote diversity and inclusion within the Knights Point Athletic Department.

Address issues of discrimination and harassment.

Foster a culture of respect and sportsmanship.

Ensure equal opportunities for all student-athletes.

Strategies:

Implement diversity and inclusion training for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.

Establish clear policies and procedures for reporting and addressing discrimination and harrassment.

Promote positive messaging and role models.

Celebrate diversity and inclusion within the Knights Point Athletic Department.
